OCA College Student Leadership Summit

The interactive college leadership training program involves hands-on exercises, small group discussions, and presentations led by two qualified APIA facilitators. The one day training assembles students from each region and focuses on self-awareness, team-building, and direct action organizing. Participants will be asked to challenge themselves, share their experiences, and develop leadership tools in order to effectively serve as catalysts for change.

Youth Program

APA-Y Advocate is a half-day interactive training for Asian Pacific American high school youth funded by State Farm that teaches leadership driven community engagement, career planning, and responsible personal financial management before going to college.

Students will be provided an opportunity to network amongst their peers and develop friendships. Students will learn the history of Asian Pacific Americans. Students will participate in a highly interactive program that will lead to leadership-driven community engagement. Students will engage in robust leadership discussions about the implications of individual behavior on the community.
